Hallux Valgus night splint

Plastic sling holds the foot in the correct position during the night. Sooths pain by pulling the joint outwards. Realigns the big toe and prevents possible worsening. Traction must be carried out so that correction of the toe deformity is visible. Placement is most effective when the articulation at the base of the big toe experiences a slight pain when pushed. The night splint follows the principle of preventive bindings (prolonged, low-intensity action) through which progressive improvement is achieved until the soft parts and articulations are normalized without damage. The articulation should not be forced in such a way that pain prevents one from resting properly. The curve of the splint matches the curve of the instep of the foot (as with footwear).
